Design and Features

The mouse measures 1.57 by 2.95 by 5.2 inches (HWD), the Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum remains almost unchanged from its previous model regarding the button placement, colour and general design. Proteus Spectrum has an all-black design, the scroll wheels is dark grey and a silver dpi indicator. It’s got a matte black finish all over the body including the left and right click buttons. The 11 programmable buttons and the scroll wheel have glossy texture.

The mouse has textured rubber grips on both sides with a thumb groove on the right side which helps to hold the mouse with comfort. There are two buttons right next to the left click button which increase or decrease the Dpi. Two buttons are located behind the scroll wheel: first button is for switching between the precision and fast scrolling for the wheel, the other button is for switching gaming profiles which can be setup with the Logitech Software. The middle mouse button can be clicked in three directions: right, left and middle.

The mouse comes with a box which contains five 3.6g weights you can add to the mouse by removing the magnet cover on the underside of the mouse. You can add the weights according to your liking.

RGB

The biggest addition is the RGB lighting. You can use the software to setup different color profiles and effects. The LED portions of the mouse are G logo on the mouse and the dpi indicator.

The mouse’s sensor has a range of 200 to 12000 dpi. The polling rates can also be changed between 125 Hz, 250 Hz, 500 Hz and 1000 Hz. The Logitech software can also detect games automatically and you can set profiles accordingly which can be saved on the on-board memory of the mouse.

The Spectrum can also be tuned to different surfaces through the software. You can tune the mouse to a mouse pad, desk, bed, carpet and maximize the sensor’s accuracy on different surfaces.
